The “Bach Under The Stars” Music Experience showcases a conceptual work that combines music, sound, and technology, utilizing Surround Sound and innovative orchestration techniques. By transcribing original orchestral scores into a virtual domain and using sampled instruments and synthesis, each instrument or group of instruments is positioned around the listener, creating a unique 3D sound experience.

The visual portion of the presentation was completed at the New Detroit Science Center’s planetarium, providing an immersive environment that enhances the perception of the surround music.
