The Four Seasons, composed in the early 18th century, is a series of four violin concertos, each representing a different season. The concert will also feature other classical pieces such as Jules Massenet’s Thaïs: Méditation, a beautiful violin solo that was originally composed as an interlude for the opera “Thaïs.” Another highlight of the program is the Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas (Four Seasons of Buenos Aires) by Astor Piazzolla.
The concert will also feature the iconic Libertango, another composition by Piazzolla, which has been covered by many artists and remains a beloved piece of tango music. Additionally, the program includes a selection from Recomposed by Max Richter: Vivaldi, The Four Seasons: Spring 3, a contemporary reimagining of Vivaldi’s masterpiece.
