Gladys Knight gained fame along with her vocal group the Pips with chart-topping hits like “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination.” Additional hits include classics such as “Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” “Neither One Of Us (Wants To Be The First To Say Goodbye),” “On and On” and “License to Kill,” which was recorded as the title song for the James Bond film starring Timothy Dalton. Gladys Knight, a longtime Las Vegas resident, has expanded her career to acting in television, film and on Broadway. This has included costarring with Harrison Ford in “Hollywood Homicide,” acting on shows like “The Jamie Foxx Show,” “Las Vegas,” and “JAG,” and starring in Broadway musical “Smokey Joe’s Café.” Kicking off the evening will be profanity-free comedy by sports writer-turned-standup comedian Sam Adams.
