The Jazz Series is back at the Water Street Plaza Amphitheater. Enjoy three nights of jazz performances in an outdoor setting. As a finale, Lao Tizer Band — featuring Eric Marienthal, Karen Briggs and Elliott Yamin, — make their debut appearance at Water Street Plaza on Sept. 24 in support of their latest Billboard Jazz Top 10 release, “Songs From The Swinghouse.” Led by keyboardist, composer and former “Best New Jazz Artist” nominee Lao Tizer, the group features “American Idol“ star Elliott Yamin, violinist Karen Briggs, Grammy-winning saxophonist Eric Marienthal, Grammy-winning drummer Gene Coye, Grammy–winning percussionist Munyungo Jackson and Senegaleese bassist, composer and producer Cheikh N’Doye.
