This exhibition features models of Leonardo da Vinci’s engineering designs and sketches, in addition to seven original oil paintings from the 15th century painted by Leonardo’s closest apprentices. These paintings showcase the Master’s techniques. The seven Renaissance paintings from da Vinci’s workshop come from a private collection in Amsterdam.
Leonardo da Vinci: The Exhibition also features the “Tavola Lucana” on display, which is a recently discovered painting that could be attributed to da Vinci as a self-portrait. The “Tavola Lucana” comes from the Museum of the Ancient People of Lucania; this is the first time it has been exhibited in the U.S.
See venue website for full schedule. This exhibit is open daily 10a-9p through April 16.
