The Las Vegas Philharmonic celebrates its 25 year as it presents a full season of nine performances at The Smith Center starting on Saturday, Oct. 21, with Symphonic Spectacular, an evening of favorites and light classics in honor of Music Director Donato Cabrera’s 10th anniversary with the philharmonic. The evening will feature Boxianzi Vivian Ling on violin. Music to be featured includes Grieg Peer Gynt’s “Suite No. 1,” Suppé’s “Light Cavalry Overture,” Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries,” Saint-Saëns’s “Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso,” Whitacre’s “October,” Strauss’s “Blue Danube Waltz,” and Rossini’s “William Tell Overture.”
