Hunting for Dinosaurs
Now-September 2: Bloodthirsty animatronic dinosaurs are prowling about the Origen Museum at the Spring Preserve. And you were worried about AI. The visiting exhibit is only here through September 2. It's also not too late to see the Las Vegas Natural History Museum's visiting interactive exhibit Wild World: Stories of Conservation and Hope on display through August 19.

September 6-7: Windmill Library patrons can jam to two musical revue performances packed with hits from classic and contemporary Disney animated films when local theater powerhouses Huntsman Entertainment (the team behind "Disney's the Little Mermaid" at Super Summer Theatre) puts on Enchanted Melodies: Disney in Song.
De Donde?
August 15-25: Majestic Repertory Theatre hosts Ana Gudino's production of "De Donde?" Mary Gallagher's story of undocumented immigrants fleeing poverty.
Fascinated by Mabel Mercer
August 17: Cabaret star Phillip Officer pays tribute to a singer's singer in "You Fascinate Me So: Phillip Officer Salutes Mabel Mercer." Backed up by musical direction from Mark Hartman, the show honors a woman whose admirers included Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Porter and Sinatra.
Dreaming of The Bard
August 23-24: Check out this inventive retelling of the classic tale of mistaken identities, fairies, love at first sight and, yes, even a wild lion as Nevada Shakespeare Festival puts on free performances of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at the Windmill Library. The festival will be back in a few months with "Macbeth."
In Good Company
August 20-25: The new flipped gender version of Stephen Sondheim’s “Company” is headed to The Smith Center Aug. 20-25 with Britney Coleman playing the traditionally masculine lead role of Bobbie. Up next, Tony Award-winning musical "The Cher Show."
Hot Wheels 500
August 24: Hot Wheels aren't just for kids. Expect plenty of adult enthusiasts at the Henderson Hot Wheels 500 with scads of racetracks set up for all ages, no driver's license required. Don't forget to bring your snazziest car to be judged in the tiny car show.
