All’Antico Vinaio, a street food sandwich experience once only available in Europe, is coming to Las Vegas with a grand opening ribbon cutting set for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26. The first 100 people in line at noon at the new UnCommon’s location will get a free sandwich. Expect that line to keep going all day. Since 1991, the Mazzanti family has been drawing crowds of Italians and tourists to its original Florentine locations. In 2019, a pop-up test run in New York City was met by fans willing to wait hours. Permanent locations in New York and Los Angelas have been continually packed. Crafted on squares of freshly baked still-steaming Tuscan flatbread, the sandwiches come topped in heaps of thinly sliced meats slathered with sauces like porcini cream, truffle honey, pistachio cream and more. Prices in California range from $12 for the Caprese to $20 for the Schiacciata del Boss.
