Bombshell Screening & Discussion

March 28 at 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

Celebrate Women’s History Month with a Flamingo Film Club screening and discussion of “Bombshell: The Hedy Lemarr Story.” Watch a free screening of the film from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23, in the theater at the Clark County Library’s  Paul C. Blau Theater. Then head back from 6 to 7 p.m. March 28 to discuss the documentary. Nicknamed: “The Face” for her stunning beauty, Hedy Lamarr was so much more. Yes, she was an actress, but her greatest gift to civilization was her mind. Her inventions formed the basis of some of our most used technologies in modern society: WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth. That smart phone you’re using right now is in large part thanks to her.
