This is the reception for “In Relative Obscurity; Rhyolite, Nevada, USA” featuring audio and visual works by Brian Gibson. During the seven days of the show, Gibson will create additional works relative to early sculptural works by Albert Szukalski, the Belgian visual artist who made the famous ghost sculptures in Rhyolite, which eventually inspired the founding of the Goldwell Open Air Museum. The works by Szukalski featured in Gibson’s show are courtesy of the Verbeke Foundation in Belgium.
