Recycling has never been more fun. The city of Henderson challenges amateur boat builders to design, build and navigate boats made entirely of cardboard and duct tape. The Regatta is open to participation by families, businesses, schools, youth groups, groups of friends or really anyone ready to hit the pool and compete in looks, capacity, speed and even best sinking ship. Open swim and check-in is from noon to 4 p.m. Races begin at 4:30. A Rubber Duck Raffle is set for 5:15. The competition is $5 per boat and daily admission is charged for all others.
