A Public Fit Theatre Company’s 10th season continues with a free staged reading of “Exit, Pursued by a Bear” directed by Tracey Corea in their directorial debut with APF. “Exit, Pursued by a Bear,” named for Shakespeare’s legendary stage direction from “A Winter’s Tale,” is an hilarious and empowering dark revenge comedy. Nan Carter is determined to reclaim her life from Kyle, her abusive, yet charming, husband. With the help of her flamboyant friend Simon and an ambitious stripper named Sweetheart, she concocts an outrageous plan to force Kyle to see the error of his ways before leaving him to meet his grisly demise. Marked by Gunderson’s sharp wit and unforgettable characters, “Exit, Pursued by a Bear” is a roller-coaster of Shakesperean-inspired girl power! Following the staged reading, APF artists will continue the conversation with The Buzzz, an interactive discussion between the production cast/crew and the audience. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited. For more information, call 702.507.3459.
