This is an exhibit of Evan Dent’s work, about which he says: “I work with postcards, ephemera, and antique photographs that I find at gas stations, flea markets, and antique stores. I apply glitter, paint, acrylic resin, and other materials to the images, making the light bounce off the surface. One of my processes involves cutting up postcards into strips and arranging them in a way that creates a sense of depth and motion through repetition. By breaking up and rearranging multiples of the same image, I am able to create dynamic compositions that appear to shift and evolve as the viewer moves around them.”
