Henderson Reads Book Festival

Henderson Libraries, the Nevada Arts Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the city of Henderson are teaming up for a massive literary showcase featuring award-winning and notable picture book, middle grade, and young adult authors from all over. There will be live readings and discussions, book signings, interactive activities, face painting and more. Authors set to participate include: Carman Agra Deedy, Mac Barnett, Roseann A. Brown, Jen Calonita, Sarwat Chadda, Orpheus Collar, Tara Dairman, Luke Flowers, Carolos Hernandez, Kwame Mbalia, Juana Medina, Jennifer A. Nielsen, Sherri L. Smith, Jordan Sonneblick and Matt Tavares. Local authors Vickie Ann Bush, Temple Kinyon and Ken Lamug are slated to meet with readers on the plaza, too, along with representatives from The Writer’s Block, the Nevada Shakespeare Festival, Nevada Humanities, Vegas PBS, Plot Twist Publisher, Mystic Publishers, Spread the Word Nevada, Henderson Libraries, and the Henderson Police Department.
