Patti LuPone

Patti LuPone has received countless accolades including the Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Best Actress. Her career glitters with roles in beloved Broadway titles including “Company,” “Evita,” “Sweeney Todd,” “War Paint,” and “Gypsy.” LuPone was most recently seen as Avis Amberg in the Netflix series “Hollywood” and recently won the Tony, Olivier and What’s OnStage awards for her performance as Joanne in the new production of the Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical “Company.” In “Don’t Monkey with Broadway,” her show on its way to the Smith Center, LuPone explores classic Broadway show tunes by the likes of Richard Rodgers, Lorenz Hart, Jule Styne, Stephen Schwartz, Charles Strouse, Leonard Bernstein, Sondheim, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin.
