The Purple Heart Ceremony is an annual event to honor those who served. It’s presented in partnership with the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 730 at Purple Heart Plaza. In partnership with the Purple Heart Veterans Chapter 730, the City of Henderson created the plaza, a linear park with shaded seating, game tables and landscaping allowing for a small gathering space in the heart of the business district. This plaza features the nationally-recognized Purple Heart monument along with a donor brick program allowing the public to purchase an engraved paver to honor a family member who has served in the U.S. armed forces.
