The 56th annual Henderson Sons and Daughters of Erin St. Patrick’s Day Festival runs March 15-17 with a wealth of events dedicated to getting your green on. Highlights include the parade running along Water Street from Basic to Victory at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16, and the car show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 17. Add to that a carnival with amusement rides and games (5 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 15, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 16, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 17). Finally mix in authentic Celtic entertainment (Darby O’Gill and the Little People, Pop Irish and Young Dubliners) and even Irish whiskey tastings. Limited parking is available at the Water Street parking garage (235 S. Water St. with access off Texas Avenue) and at the Henderson City Hall parking garage (240. S. Water St. with access off Basic Road). The event is free to attend.
