Torn Together is the first show of the Las Vegas Collage Collective and brings together a handful of Las Vegas artists for whom collage technique is central to their work.
Selected artists were invited to share their most relevant collage work. Encompassing either their current artistic endeavors or delve into their archives to retrieve earlier works that exemplify contemporary collage.
The overarching themes explored in this collective exhibition include, but are not limited to; paper art, found images, sound-collage, up-cycling, ephemera, the cut-up technique, therapeutic aspects of collage, collage as a means of community building, and the art of assemblage.
Featuring artists; Carina Arriaga, Jeffrey Bennington Grindley, Jorge Lara, Chad Martinez, John McVay, Laura M. Meyer, JK Russ, and Jim White.
