Composer and multi-instrumentalist Huu Bac Quach skillfully combines his Vietnamese and Chinese heritages with jazz music in an ensemble backed by some of the most prominent musicians on the Montreal jazz scene. The dan bau (Vietnamese monochord), the erhu (Chinese fiddle), the quena (Andean flute), and the jazz guitar combine to create a unique sound.
