Gauls wanna have fun: Joke all you want about bagpipes, but I bet the lung-busting squeal device is one reason why Celts are such hearty, hairy folk. At the Las Vegas Celtic Festival and Highland Games April 12-13 at Craig Ranch Park, they'll bang drums, compete in athletic matches, drink whiskey, and sport their most fantoosh kilts.

THE GRASS IS greener this week no matter what side of the fence you're on (and it's real grass, too). We've got sun-kissed guitar shows in the park, rural carnivals amid mountain air, and kilt-clad revelers welcoming spring with melodically ear-shattering bagpipe bleats. Cheers! – Andrew Kiraly 🤍

🛍️
Quaint misbehaving: I'd estimate that like 41.96 percent of my home's whiplash-inducingly eclectic decor came from the venerable Charleston Antique Mall, and 99 percent of that 41.96 percent I scored during my sanity-salvaging scour sessions during COVID. Which is to say I've cathexed so much emotional energy into its wondrous sprawling jumble I still feel a stirring stab of gratitude every time I walk through its doors. Here's even more to be grateful for: This weekend, the mall is going full-on supernova as its Vintage Bazaar April 12 explodes nostalgic treasures across 30 outdoor vendors and 75 indoor dealers, complete with food trucks to fuel your shopping mojo.
