Pete Taylor discovered horses at Boy Scout camp as a young kid growing up in Oakland, California. It wasn’t until an injury forced him to retire from firefighting that he fulfilled his lifelong dream to become a cowboy. He’ll talk about the history of Black cowboys and his own personal challenges raising horses on a ranch and his love for competition in riding, roping, cowboy-mounted shooting, extreme cowboy racing, judged trail riding and more.
