“Heart/Land” features pastel paintings by artist Sidne Teske that explore the landscape and environment around Tuscarora, Nevada. The paintings combined with figural works depicting the “inner landscape” bring the heart and land together—being human. The landscape’s stark beauty also shows the effects of its mining history that began in the 1860s and continues today.
