The Techatticup Mine is the oldest and richest Gold Mine in Southern Nevada. It ran from 1861 until 1942. The city of Henderson is planning to host a walking tour of the mine. The walk is approximately 1/4 mile long on gravel and only one level. The tour will last approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. Advance registration is required, and space is limited. Participants must be 18 or older. Transportation from the Downtown Recreation Center is provided.
