Wetlands History

The Henderson Historical Society plans a Henderson Speaks Lecture Series event dedicated to the History of Wetlands Park. Guests will be asked to imagine an expansive, lush green oasis in the southeast corner of the Mojave Desert a few minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Four unique habitats, 2,900 acres, managed wild areas, diverse habitat for native plans and wildlife. Admission to lecture is free. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the lecture starts at 6:30 p.m. in Building C at Caesar J. Caviglia, 700 College Drive, in Henderson. The event is set to feature Liz Bickmore with moderation by historian Mark Hall Patton.
