The “Wonderful World of Was: The Brain War” is a musical dramedy performed by Social Issues Theatre to recognize Lewy Body Dementia Awareness Month. Lorraine Bordeaux’s untimely death leaves her husband’s care in the hands of her self-centered daughter, her husband’s personal assistant, their caring long-time friend, and Tony the maintenance man. All have no experience with dementia care. The goal of the production is to educate, validate, and offer hope, empathy, and support for caregivers and families faced with managing loved ones’ suffering from the effects of dementia.
