FROM HOWLIN' blues festivals to taco-fueled lotería parties to foamy street shindigs, here's what made The List this weekend. Cheers! – Andrew Kiraly 🤍
🫖 Friday September 26
- Largely known as the inebriated epicenter of the annual Fallout Fan Celebration, the Pioneer Saloon has plenty else to offer in the wasteland off-season. To wit: This weekend's Nevada Blues Festival – free and all-ages, which means you can install some character-building core memories in your children courtesy of the soul-scouring gutbucket howls of The Moanin' Blacksnakes.(Through Sunday) 12p, Pioneer Saloon
- Within a 25-foot radius I will always and forever happily get sucked into the twee whirlpool o' delights that is Akin Cooperative. Some of their stuff can be pricey, so this Tea Party sale – with $5 hats, $10 shirts, and more – definitely has my head turned. 3p, Akin Cooperative
- They're not kidding around with Plant-Based Comedy Night: Tarantino's serves up vegan Italian fare while comic Steve Releford and friends deliver cruelty-free punchlines, which I guess wouldn't be punchlines, but more like amiable nudgelines. 7p, All Friends Animal Sanctuary
- Nice to know they finally came up with a name for the country-EDM mashup that's taking Vegas by stampede: YEEDM. Neon Rodeo aims to lasso stomp 'n' womp fans with "dance beats, country heat." 8p, Bel-Aire Backyard

🏞️ Saturday September 27
- Sorry to get all pOlItIcAl so early on a Saturday, but yeah, anything you can do to support Nevada Public Lands Day and thereby thwart the Trump administration's sublimated pedophiliac lust to turn Nevada into a giant lithium cancer cluster is appreciated. Thank you. 8a, Freedom Park
- Think of Beer and Loaming as a sort of beer festival with a thrilling-ass bike race sort of happening ambiently in the background, suffusing the alpine air with the unmistakable musk of extreme sports, bro. 10a, Lee Canyon
- They're kicking open the taps to celebrate Khoury's 21st Anniversary, with wine and beer specials flowing all day. If you've never tasted by the blissy elixir that is Herman Story wine, now is your chance. 2p, Khoury's Fine Wine & Spirits
- Western history buffs and Vegas shutterbugs won't wanna miss this one. Photographer Arthur Rothstein was a sort of New Deal documentarian assigned to chronicle post-Depression America. Along the way, though, he also incidentally became one of early Las Vegas' biggest visual boosters. His daughter Ann Rothstein-Segan will discuss his work, life, and rich legacy at this reception for The New Deal in the New West: On the Road in Nevada with Arthur Rothstein. 2p, Nevada State Museum

🫧 Sunday September 28
- When you gussy up like it's a tea party but gulp like it's a wine party, you must be at the Sunday Tea (Wine) Party. 1p, The Wine Garden
- Technically, I s'pose, Bubble Bash is a kid's event, but also technically there's nothing stopping you from getting into a ferocious foam-up at this sudsy shindig that culminates in the sus-sounding climax, "Kid-in-a-Bubble." 1p, The District at Green Valley Ranch
- This one's a sensory feast: Edible Vibes features the pop portraits of Annie Wildbear and the urban abstracts of Dray – plus several other artists – in a tapas-rich, all-you-can-eat environment. 1p, Saffron Lounge
