Boulder Highway: Now and Then

November 15 at 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Boulder Highway, or State Route 582, was built in 1931 with the original purpose of connecting the Five Points area (the Charleston Boulevard and Fremont Street intersection near Downtown Las Vegas) to Railroad Pass in Henderson, and was later extended to provide access for the construction of Hoover Dam. At one time, Boulder Highway was the only road to connect the downtowns of Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City.

Come hear Scott Jarvis, project engineer with the City of Henderson’s Public Works Department, and Alejandra Fazekas, principal planner with the city’s Community Development and Services Department, discuss the corridor’s history as well as plans for the โ€œReimagine Boulder Highwayโ€ project.
