Women Behind The Mic is a collective of women — LaJoyce Brookshire, Vida Dyson-Nash, Stone Love, and Gwendolyn Quinn — who worked behind the scenes in the entertainment industry to shape and shift iconic artists and brands. Come to hear readings from their book “Volume One: Word To The Wise,” which gives insight on how to break into the music industry, how to stay there, and how those skills attained helped craft their futures. As a bonus the women plan to read from “Volume Two: The Hip-Hop Edition,”scheduled for an end of the year release.
