• So the venue for this Wine Tasting Party benefiting the Nevada chapter of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation is called the Viva Las Vegas Event Center but I think it's actually a wedding chapel which makes this entire thing even more weirdly enticing maybe. Anyway, soak up the buzz afterwards with killer Thai at the terrifically underrated Ocha next door. 6p, Viva Vegas Event Center
• Dark times call for dark beer, I guess? Based in unbelievably quaint Tallinn, Estonia, Põhjala Brewery specialized in thick, rich, dark Baltic porters, and The Silver Stamp got their hands on a keg for Põhjala Baltic Porter Day. 6p, The Silver Stamp
• A Public Fit keeps the chewy theater coming with Sam Shephard's True West, a high-tension story about brothers Lee and Austin trying to complete a screenplay while stewing over creative differences, sibling rivalry, and personal beefs. Note there's a Saturday showing too. 7p, SST Studios
• Punk meets polka when longtime Vegas goofcore jazz punx Tippy Elvis – fronted by super-funny, super-smart person Dayvid Figler, co-host of City Cast Las Vegas – come out of deep freeze for a reunion show. Omg, their throwback profile banner pic is priceless. 9p, Red Dwarf
• Sure, one tried-and-true First Friday strategy is to leap into the mix early, scoop up eyefuls of art, and beat the food truck lines, but an alternate plan is to arrive late so you have plenty of energy left for what is often the real headline act: the utterly epic First Friday Freestyle Dance Battles that Ninja Karaoke throws down. 11p, Ninja Karaoke

• Not that I actually miss anything about the whole squeamish era of having to cocoon up in yr home during COVID 2020-21, but one blip of glimmering enjoyment was that I did get to DM a pretty rad D&D campaign over Zoom. The best part was when my players beat this evil undead wizard boss I'd invented but when they went to get his super-powerful magic crystal weapon as their prize someone rolled a 1 on a luck check and the magical crystal imploded lol. • You might say new slasher Heart Eyes is a date-night flick only in the most literal sense, but who am I to judge anyone's kinks if this is your kinda make-out material? • Just to clarify: the redundantly named Fairchild Blues Tribute – a Tribute to the Blues Brothers is a tribute to an imaginary musical group from a cult comedy film based on an SNL skit, all of which suggests this might be strangely awesome. 8p, Santa Fe Station
• The stalwart brainchild of longtime local theatre insurgent Ernest Hemmings, TSTMRKT has been pulsing in the Vegas underground for decades, skewering the shibboleths of mass culture with glee since 2002. The Super Mega Fun Reunion Special 2 (Sponsored by Ramco) promises to corral all its performers over the years for a night of manic sketch comedy set to an unstoppable audio track. • The Rouge Room gets dark and deep with Rouge Noir, a new late-night house music sanctuary where DJs spin in 360 degrees and Cointreau keeps the cocktails flowing.
